The principles behind two businesses (Adelaide Engine Developments and Heads Up Racing) involved in the racing engine industry combined to form CNC Porting Australia Pty Ltd in October 2004. The idea was to create an Australian company that that could supply world class Machine Ported Heads to the Australian market. Thereby providing a convenient service to local racing teams that could cater for the specific needs of classes in this country.

Our first pair of cylinder heads  ported using our 5 axis CNC Milling Machine were completed in March 2004, 2 weeks after the arrival of the equipment. This is the shortest time interval between equipment delivery and production of the first ported head achieved by any company in the world.

In the first 3 years of operation we have increased our port library to include over 60 different types of cylinder heads. We were the first company in Australia to Machine port a 4 valve head. Another recent achievment we are proud of is a custom 4 valve cylinder head machined from a solid billet, created for Trevor Birrell Racing's Suzuki Prostock Motorcycle.

 We have the largest port program library in the country. Our experience with so many different types of heads has given us an extensive knowledge in the digital mapping and machine porting of cylinder heads. Accordingly, we believe that our experience in this specialist industry is second to none.
